The Templeton wedding truly belonged in a fairy tale book. The event was held at the incredible La Caille in Sandy, Utah. Guests arrived promptly at 4:45pm via Mercedes Shuttles.
Before taking their seats two Butler's served fresh lemonade with strawberry and blueberry compote. It was the perfect treat on this bright & sunny day. The ceremony took place outside on a grassy field next to a vineyard with breathtaking mountain views. A guitarist serenaded us while we waited for the wedding party to make their grand entrance.
Kris, the groom, looked charming as he walked his mom down the isle. The groomsmen were so handsome. Especially my husband in his tux. The bridesmaids could have easily been mistaken for Disney princesses. Their gowns were a perfect shade of pink.
Georgina, the bride, walked down the isle to the acoustic version of Fast Cars by Tracy Chapman. One of my favorite songs. She was breathtaking. Her gown was absolutely gorgeous and the train went for miles. The bride & groom exchanged their vows under an archway filled with delicate white flowers and green foliage. These two could not have been happier to hear the words "you may now kiss your bride". As Mr. and Mrs. Kris Templeton were announced guests tossed fresh flower petals in the air.
While the wedding party whisked off to capture photos. Guests took a few steps around the corner onto the patio where cocktails & light hors d'oeuvres were served by the pond. Luscian had fun showing off his pin striped suit while I enjoyed a glass of Merlot and some decadent appetizers. We snapped a few pictures in the photo booth before Luscian took a quick power nap.
After the cocktail hour we were escorted into the reception area. This was not just any regular wedding ballroom. It was a huge, glass greenhouse with Vines and flowers from floor to ceiling. It looked as though it fell out of something from the movie "The Secret Garden". White wood tables were dressed with tasteful decor and rose gold silverware. The dance floor backdrop had giant letters that lit up spelling the word LOVE.
My husband, the groom's best man, gave a heartfelt speech with a pinch of humor. He had the entire room laughing. The maid of honor, Anita, shared a beautiful speech about friendship and love. While we raised our glasses to toast to the happy couple our dinner was being served. A scrumptious dark green salad started the meal off and following after that was a plate of halibut, beef roast and vegetables. The dessert was Oreo cheesecake!
After dinner a big surprise hit the dance floor. The groom's mom, aunt and their significant others performed an unforgettable routine to Bruno Mars Uptown Funk. This got everyone on the dance floor. Luscian was getting a ton of attention from all the ladies. My kid had so much lipstick on his face from all the kisses. We left just before the sparklers were lit for the bride and groom. It was time to put our sweet boy to bed. He was all giggles until he fell asleep in the car ride back to our hotel. The night was so much fun.
The necklace I am wearing in most of the photos is called Fishing For Compliments and only $5! Such a steal. You can buy it and others HERE. I took it off half way through the night because Luscian thought it was his teething buddy and my neck was drenched with baby drool hehe. We also searched high and low for a baby tux and luckily found his super cute suit on Amazon.com.
